According to the base cloth material classification of wool lining cloth:

(6) The segmented interlining is uniformly woven from thick to thin in the warp or weft direction)

Production process of horsetail: horsetail lining (black carbon lining) is a high-grade lining cloth with cotton warp and horsetail sideburns for weft. At the beginning, when people were weaving, they fed the ponytail temples one by one as weft yarns. The range of the base cloth was limited by the length of the ponytail, so the work efficiency was low and the use was wasteful (not cost-effective). With the development of science and technology, the use of cable production process with 3 45s cotton yarn wrapped ponytail, to produce artificial ponytail yarn, so that the limited length of ponytail, can be woven any wide width of the base fabric, greatly improving the utilization rate, but the cost is higher. Pony tail lining (black carbon lining) has strong rigidity, excellent elasticity and relatively light and thin. It is the high-grade interlining cloth in the wool lining.

The main function of horsetail lining (black carbon lining): wool lining (black carbon lining) is a traditional lining cloth with brown black or dyed black appearance. It is coarse and astringent, has good stiffness and outstanding elasticity.
